- 9 people whom will become members.
- Then find a place to play. It could be part of an existing GAA club or find a space through a local council or existing sports club.

Once they give you the OK, you can start training and entering leagues and competitions.
To get the basics of equipment we can help you with one of our starter packs that will give you the basic equipment to give you a big head start.
The Basics of GAA Rounders Equipment - Get Started
5 Base mats - Carpet pieces 64cm by 64cm for the bases - don't have plastic-backed ones as you can slip when you are playing in damp conditions.
Rounders Bats - GAA Rounders uses baseball-type bats, whether wood or metal within the following parameters - 70cm to 110cm in length and 7cm wide. So a bat between 28 inches to 44 inches complies with GAA Rounders Rules. Don't get caught out with English Rounders bats available online. These are not within the GAA Rounders Rules specification. You may need several bats whether your players are small or larger. Bat size depends on size and height - we have a GAA Rounders Bat size guide here.
2 Helmets - The Pitcher and Catcher must wear these during training and playing. These are Irish standard hurling helmets that are commonly used in GAA hurling and Camogie. Your club or members may have these already - just make sure they fit correctly and are not modified. We sell Helmets with removable inserts which means they can be kept hygienic easily.
A few Slotars - GAA Rounders uses standard GAA sliotars in the game. There are many brands and grades. Higher quality ones will retain their shape even with the biggest hitters and in all weather conditions. Some cheaper ones will burst when being wet and hit hard. Training sliotars are good, but you should train with match standard balls were possible. Size 5 for U15 to Adults and Size 4 for children up to U14.
